|a Sažetak na hrvatskom: Broj LTE (Long Term Evolution) korisnika ubrzano raste zbog veće brzine pristupa i manje latentnosti nego što je to slučaj u starijim tehnologijama mobilnog pristupa mreži. Posljedica raste broja korisnika je i povećanje prometa signalizacijskog protokola Diameter. Da bi se omogućila manja cijena prijenosa podataka davateljima usluga, vrlo je važno poboljšati korištenje mrežnih resursa i sprječavati zagušenje u mreži.
Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je bio slati Diameter signalizacijski promet i bilježiti ponašanje PCRF (Policy and Charging Rules Function) jedinice. Promet je generiran softverom posebno razbijenim za ovu svrhu, omogućavajući korisniku da bira između raznoraznih modela razdiobe prometa i scenarija.

|a Sažetak na engleskom: The number of the LTE (Long Term Evolution) users increases rapidly because of its higher access rate and lower latency than the older types of the mobile communication technology. The outcome of the user growth is the growth of the Diameter signaling protocol traffic. To provide a service providers lower cost of the data transmission, it’s important to improve the network resource usage and prevent congestions in the network.
The goal of the master thesis was to send a Diameter signaling protocol traffic and record the behavior of the PCRF (Policy and Charging Rules Function). The traffic is generated with the software specially developed for that purpose, letting the user to choose between various traffic distribution models and scenarios.
