|a Sažetak na hrvatskom: Ovim radom dan je pregled problematike stabilnosti elektroenergetskog sustava i stabilnosti sinkronog generatora kao glavne proizvodne jedinice u sustavu. Opisani su glavni tipovi nestabilnosti koje se pojavljuju u EES-u i elektromehanička njihanja koja su posljedica pojave takvih nestabilnosti.
Dan je pregled razvoja stabilizatora elektromehaničkih njihanja i opisano je njihovo djelovanje. Fokus je stavljen na stabilizator elektromehaničkih njihanja temeljen na integralu snage ubrzanja poznatom i kao PSS2A prema IEEE standardu. Opisan je način rada tog stabilizatora i obavljen izbor parametara. Također je opisana i struktura upravljanja uzbudom sinkronog generatora.
Stabilizator PSS2A i struktura upravljanja naponom sinkronog generatora implementirani su u digitalni sustav cRIO-9014 proizvođača National Instruments. Također su implementirane zaštite generatora koje se izvode prilikom puštanja u pogon i rada sustava. Eksperimentalno je provjereno djelovanje implementirane strukture na laboratorijskom modelu (generator 83kVA). Eksperimenti su provedeni za slučajeve promjene referentne vrijednosti napona i za slučaj promjene referentne vrijednosti radne snage generatora.

|a Sažetak na engleskom: Overview of power system stability and stability of synchronous generator as main production unit in power system was given in this master thesis. Main types of power system's instability and power oscillations as result of that instability were presented.
Power system stabilizers (PSS) development overview was given and principles of PSS operation were described. Main focus was on accelerating power based power system stabilizer, also known as PSS2A according to IEEE standard. Operating principles of PSS2A stabilizer were described and parameter selection was made. Synchronous generator excitation control system was described as well.
PSS2A stabilizer and synchronous generator voltage regulation system were implemented in National Instruments digital system cRIO-9014. Protections for generator commissioning and general system operation were implemented in cRIO-9014 as well.
Implemented digital regulation structure was tested on laboratory model (generator 83kVA). Experimental responses were recorded for step changes of generator reference voltage and step changes of electrical power.
