|a Sažetak na hrvatskom: U okviru rada proučena je serijska i Wi-Fi komunikacija te protokoli FTP i ICMP. Rezultat rada su dvije Android aplikacije.
Prva aplikacija uspostavlja serijsku komunikaciju Android uređaja s računalom i baznom stanicom pri čemu koristi Bluetooth. Za komunikaciju se na strani računala, odnosno bazne stanice, koristi se Bluetooth Serial modul HC-06 ili BC04-B. Za emulaciju serijskog porta na strani Androida koristi se RFCOMM protokol.
Druga aplikacija koristi Wi-Fi. Aplikacija provjerava dostupnost računala u mreži naredbom ping te se spaja na računalo FTP protokolom. Za FTP komunikaciju, na strani računala potrebno je pokrenuti FTP poslužitelj te na Android uređaju kreirati FTP klijenta. Nakon spajanja klijenta na poslužitelj, aplikacija dohvaća datoteku pohranjenu u memoriji Android uređaja te ju šalje poslužitelju.

|a Sažetak na engleskom: Serial and Wi-Fi communication, as well as FTP and ICMP protocols were studied for this thesis. The results are two Android applications.
The first application sets up serial communication between Android device and the computer or the base station using Bluetooth. Bluetooth Serial module HC-06 or BC04-B are used for the computer’s communication, alongside the base station’s communication. RFCOMM protocol is used to emulate a serial port on Android.
The second application uses Wi-Fi. The application checks the availability of a computer in a network by ping command and it connects to a computer using FTP protocol. When it comes to creating an FTP communication on a computer, we need to start an FTP server and create an FTP client on the Android device. After connecting the client with the server, the application sends a file stored on the Android device to the server.
