Svaka hidroelektrana u okviru pogona elektroenergetskog sustava treba biti opremljena s odgovarajućim sustavima mjerenja, regulacije i upravljanja. Sustav nadzora hidroelektrana složen je proces koji obuhvaća nadziranje većeg broja parametara elektroenergetske opreme kojima možemo dobiti jasniju sliku elektrane i postaviti dijagnostiku kvarova. Zato se koristi moderan sustav nadziranja kojime se predočavaju vrijednosti parametara koji trebaju ostati unutar određenih granica. Sustav pravovremeno upozorava korisnika na smetnje ili kvar koji se dogodio u postrojenju, a postoji i opcija da ih sustav automatski ukloni ako je u mogućnosti.

Each hydro power plant within the electric power system shoul be equipped with appropriate systems of measurement, regulation and control. Hydro power plant monitoring system is a complex process which includes monitoring various parameters of electric power equipment that can be used to get a clearer picture of the plant and set fault diagnosis. Therefore, modern monitoring system is used which displays the values of the parameters that must be kept within certain limits. The system alerts user on time for interference or malfunction that occured at the plant and there is an option where system can automatically remove them if it is able.
