|a Sažetak na hrvatskom: Telemetrija omogućuje daljinsko očitavanje pametnih električnih brojila koja mjere i pohranjuju kumulativne ili intervalne podatke potrošnje energenata u realnom vremenu. DLMS/COSEM komunikacijski protokol je globalni standard koji omogućuje razmjenu podataka između mjernih uređaja i sustava za automatsko očitavanje (engl. Automatic Meter Reading, AMR) neovisno o proizvođaču mjernog uređaja, energentu kojeg mjere (električna energija, voda, plin toplinska energija). COSEM (engl. Companion Specification for Energy Metering) je skup specifikacija kojima je određeno mjerenje protoka energije i prijenos izmjerenih podataka neovisno o komunikacijskom mediju. Napredna mjerna infrastruktura (engl. Advanced Metering Infrastructure, AMI) je napredni sustav mjerenja i upravljanja potrošnjom električne energije, očitavanje brojila električne energije, obrada, analiza i spremanje podataka. Zahvaljujući AMI-u omogućeno je daljinsko očitavanje brojila i upravljanje mjernim uređajima. DLMS je osmišljen kako bi osigurao interoperabilnost između različitih proizvođača brojila. Sučelje je zajedničko za sve tipove energije. Uz sigurnosne značajke omogućuje i selektivni pristup podacima. Interoperabilnost je sposobnost razmjene podataka između mjernog sustava i sustava za prikupljanje.

|a Sažetak na engleskom: Telemetry allows remote reading of smart electricity meters that measure and store cumulative or interval data of energy consumption in real time. DLMS/COSEM communication protocol is a global standard that enables the exchange of data between measurement devices and systems for automatic meter reading (AMR), regardless of the manufacturer of the measuring device, which measures energy source which is measure (electricity, water, gas, thermal energy). COSEM is a set of specifications which define the flow measurement of energy and transmission of measured data, regardless of the communication medium. Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is an advanced system for measuring and managing energy consumption, meter reading of electricity, processing, analysis and storage. Thanks automatic meter reading (AMI) enables remote meter reading and control measuring devices. DLMS is designed to ensure interoperability between different vendors meters. The interface is common to all types of energy. With safety features allows selective access to data. Interoperability is the ability to exchange data between the measurement system and collecting system.
