|a Sažetak na hrvatskom: Ovaj diplomski rad daje kratku retrospektivu razvoja mobilnih mreža i standarda s naglaskom na LTE mreže 4. generacije.
U prvom poglavlju rada standard LTE je detaljnije opisan, zajedno s usvojenim promjenama u mrežnoj arhitekturi u sklopu samog standarda.
U poglavlju rada detaljno je opisan IMS, njegova slojevita arhitektura, entiteti koje IMS sadržava i konačno komunikacija između tih entiteta. Fokus je usmjeren na opisivanje komunikacije putem sučelja Cx, kroz koji komuniciraju entiteti I-CSCF, odnosno S-CSCF s HSS-om.
Sljedeće poglavlje predstavlja uvod u protokol Diameter. Ono sadrži kratki opis strukture poruka protokola Diameter te AVP formata, dok je detaljno opisana komunikacija i poruke izmijenjene između HSS-a te I-CSCF-a, odnosno S-CSCF-a.
U poglavlju koji slijedi predstavljena je programska podrška Diameter Routing Agent-a. U sklopu toga opisani su funkcijski zahtjevi na razvijenu programsku podršku, arhitektura visoke razine apstrakcije te komunikacija između programskih komponenti.
Zadnje poglavlje iznosi analizu prometa protokola Diameter na sučelju Cx, kroz statistiku skupljenu koristeći razvijenu programsku podršku Diameter Routing Agent-a.

|a Sažetak na engleskom: This master thesis gives a short retrospective on mobile networks and standards development while emphasizing the 4th Generation (4G) LTE Networks.
In the first section the LTE standard is further explained, along with the network architecture changes adopted as a part of the standard.
In the next part of the thesis the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is thoroughly explained, its layered architecture, the entities consisting the IMS and lastly the communication between those entities. The focus is on describing the communication on the Cx interface, through which the I-CSCF/S-CSCF communicates with the HSS.
The following chapter gives an introduction to Diameter protocol. The chapter contains a brief description of Diameter message structure and AVP data formats, while the communication and messages exchanged between I-CSCF/S-CSCF are described in depth.
In the next chapter the Diameter Routing Agent software is presented. The chapter describes functional requirements for the developed software, a high-level architecture and the communication between software components.
In the last chapter the Diameter traffic statistics data, collected using the Diameter Routing Agent software, is analyzed.
