|a Sažetak na hrvatskom: Bluetooth standard već je godinama vrlo raširen protokol u komunikaciji uređaja na male udaljenosti, no zbog relativno velike potrošnje energije nije bio pogodan za razvoj bežičnih uređaja sa senzorima koji imaju ograničene energetske resurse. Bluetooth Smart protokol omogućuje bežičnu komunikaciju s manjim utroškom energije, te je posebice pogodan za senzorske uređaje napajane baterijom. Gotovi moduli s ugrađenom podrškom za Bluetooth Smart i mogučnošću programiranja omogućuju brzi i jednostavan razvoj takvih uređaja.
U radu je dan pregled Bluetooth Smart tehnologije, Laird BL600 modula s ugrađenom Bluetooth Smart povezivošću, te je izrađen demonstracijski primjer korištenja modula za razvoj bežičnog baterijski pogonjenog akcelerometra.

|a Sažetak na engleskom: Bluetooth stadard has long been used as a go-to protocol for short-range communication between devices. However, relatively high power consumption was a problem for utilization in small low-energy devices. Bluetooth Smart protocol enables communication with much lower power requirements, making it suitable for communication with battery-powered sensor devices. Programmable modules with built-in Bluetooth Smart capability enable fast and easy prototyping and development of such devices. Given in this paper is a short overview of Bluetooth Smart protocol and Laird BL600 programmable module with Bluetooth Smart capability. A typical usecase is demonstrated through development of battery-powered motion-tracking device.
