|a Sažetak na hrvatskom: Modbus TCP je komunikacijski protokol koji se koristi u automatiziranim industrijskim postrojenjima. Temelj protokola je komunikacija između klijenta i servera, koja se odvija u stvarnom vremenu. Ethernet se koristi kao prijenosi medij, TCP kao mrežni transportni protokol, a Modbus kao standardni protokol za razmjenu podataka. Za implementaciju su korištena tri modula, FreeRTOS za operacijski sustav za rad u stvarnom vremenu, lwIP za TCP/IP stog i FreeModbus za ostvarivanje Modbus protokola. U okviru rada implementiran je Modbus TCP server na sklopovlju, klijent na osobnom računalu te je uspostavljena komunikaciju ta dva sustava.

|a Sažetak na engleskom: Modbus TCP is a communication protocol used in automated industrial systems. The protocol is based on client-server communication in a real time. Ethernet is used as the communication layer, TCP as a transport protocol, and Modbus as standard protocol for data exchange. Three modules were used for implementation of the described protocol stack, FreeRTOS for real-time operating system, lwIP for the TCP/ IP stack, and FreeModbus for Modbus protocol implementation. In this thesis the Modbus TCP server was implemented in development hardware, client was implemented on a personal computer, and communication between these endpoints was established and tested.
