|a U radnji je obrađena primjena pokretnih programskih agenata u upravljanju i održavanju uslužnih čvorova na Internetu. Kao primjer uslužne mreže obrađena je mreža Internet kioska. Internet kiosk je uređaj koji pruža korisnicima pristup Internetu i njegovim uslugama s raznih javnih mjesta. U radnji su razrađeni postupci razvoja i zadaće koje pokretni agent treba obavljati u sustavu. Razrađeni je model agentskog sustava koji se sastoji od četiri pokretna programska agenta èija zadaća je nadgledanja i održavanja rada svakog Internet kioska, kao i provjera instalirane programske podrške. Operacije agentskog sustava formalno su opisane Petrijevom mrežom. Petrijeva mreža korištena je zbog složenog skupa uvjeta i događaja, te same kompozicije mreže. Nakon provedene analize nekoliko sustava za implementaciju programskih agenata, za realizaciju je odabran Voyager sustav.

|a This thesis deals with the application of Mobile Software Agents in the Control and the Maintenance of Internet service nodes. As an example of service network an Internet Kiosk network has been studied. Internet Kiosk is a multimedia appliance that provides access to Internet and Internet services from public places. The thesis elaborates the procedure in the development of those Mobile Agents and their function within the system. The agent system consisting of four Mobile Agents has been developed to supervise and maintain Internet kiosks and to control version of installed software programmes. The way in which the system formally operates has been described by using Petri net. Petri net has been applied because of complex demand on the system and the configuration of the network. After several systems for the implementation of the programming agents were studied, Voyager was selected as the most applicable.
