|a Sažetak: U razdoblju istraživanja na prisutnost mikobakterija ukupno je pretražen 431 uzorak hrane i različitih materijala iz okoliša svinja iz 10 gojidbi na području Republike Hrvatske. Mikobakterije su izdvojene iz 68 (25%) od 272 pretražena uzorka iz okoliša svinja, te iz 28 (17,61%) od 159 pretraženih uzoraka gotovih smjesa ili sastojaka od kojih se pripremaju. Ukupno je izdvojeno 96 (22,27%) sojeva mikobakterija koje su pripadali vrstama: M.avium, M.intracellulare, M.fortuitum, M.chelonei, M.terrae, M.nonchromogenicum, M.vaccae, M.gordonae, M.phlei i M.triviale. U razdoblju od 1992. do 1995. tuberkulinizirane su 67 242 rasplodne svinje. Od njih je 655 (0,97%) proglašeno pozitivnim, a 88 (0,13%) sumnjivim na avijarni tuberkulin.

|a Prilikom klanja patološko anatomske promjene karakteristične za tuberkulozu ustanovljene su u 67,52% svinja, koje su za vrijeme života pozitivno reagirale na avijarni tuberkulin. U 41,77% svinja promjene su se istodobno nalazile u mandibularnim i mezenterijskim limfnim čvorovima, u 39,24% samo u mezenterijskim, 15,19% u mandibularnim u 2,53% samo u retrofaringealnim limfnim čvorovima, a u 1,27% tih svinja u apscesu na vratu svinja. Istraživanjem uzgojenih i biokemijskih osobina sojeva izdvojenih iz promijenjenih limfnih čvorova svinja ustanovljeno je da izdvojene mikobakterije pripadaju MAI kompleksu (89,29%) te vrstama: M.fortuitum (8,33%),M.chelonei (1,19%) i M.terrae (1,19%).

|a Serotipizacijom sojeva MAI kompleksa izdvojenih iz svinja ustanovljeno je da serovaru 2 pripada 30,66%, serovaru 3 25,33%, serovaru 8 18,67%, dvostrukim serovarovi 2/3 6,67% i 4/8 2,67% izolata. Nije tipizirano 9,33%, a spontano je aglutiniralo 6,67% sojeva. Iz uzoraka vode i piljevine izdvojen je MAI kompleks serovar 8, a iz uzoraka izmetina i jetre vrabaca serovar 2 tog kompleksa. Na osnovi nevedenih rezultata istraživanja može se zaključiti da se mikobakterije često nalaze u okolišu i hrani za svinje na našim farmama.

|a Summary: the study on the presence of mycobacteria was carried out on 431 samples of the feed and various material collected from 10 pig farms located at the various sites in the Republic of Croatia. Mycobacteria were isolated in 68 (25%) of 272 tested samples of the material taken from the surroundings of the pigs and in 28 (17.61%) of 159 tested samples of the finished feed mixes and their components. Total number of isolated mycobacterial strains was 96 (22.27%) and these belonged to the following species: M. avium, M. intracellulare, M. fortuitum, M. chelonei, M. terrae, M. nonchromogenicum, M. vaccae, M. gordonae, M. phlei and M. triviale. In the period from 1992. till 1995. tuberculization was carried out on 67 242 breeding sows. Positive finding was recorded in 655 of them (0.97%) and 88 (0.13%) were suspected for avian tuberculin.

|a On slaughter, pathological anatomical changes indicative of tuberculosis were recorded in 67.52% animals, which had developed positive reaction to avian tuberculin. In 41.77% sows the changes occured in mandibular and mesenteric lymph node concomintanly, in 39.24% in mesenteric only, in 15.19% in mandibular, in 2.53% in retrofaryngeal lymph nodi and in 1.27% in the abscess located in the neck. Breeding and biocemical characteristics of the strains isolated in the changed lymph nodi showed that mycobacteria belonged to the MAI complex (89.29%) ant to the following species: M. fortuitum (8.33%), M. chelonei (1.19%) and M. terrae (1.19%) of the tested samples.

|a Serotyping of the isolated MAI complex strains showed that 30.66% were serovar 2,25.33% serovar 3,18.67% serovar 8,6.67% double serovar 2/3 and 2.67% double serovar 4/8, the type was not determined in 9.33% strains, whereas 6.67% strains undergone spontaneous agglutination. MAI complex serovar 8 was isolated in the samples of water and saw-dust, whereas serovar 2 of the same complex was isolated in the samples of faeces and liver of the sparrows. Based on the above results it may be concluded that the mycobacteria isolated in the feed and at the studied pig farms were the source of infection.
